Linden and Holder breach the casino's tenth floor.
"Sayonara, Hiawatha" is the twenty-second episode of the American television drama *The Killing*, serving as the ninth installment of its second season. It first aired on May 20, 2012. The episode was co-written by executive producers Nicole Yorkin and Dawn Prestwich and directed by Phil Abraham.
In the episode, Sarah Linden obtains Rosie Larsen's keys, which grant entry to the casino's tenth floor. Stan Larsen learns that his son Tommy has been misbehaving at school. Mitch Larsen meets with David Ranier, Rosie's biological father. Darren Richmond asks Nicole Jackson to cooperate with the police.
Stephen Holder calls Linden from their office to inform her it has been cleared out. Lt. Carlson warns Holder that the Larsen case has been transferred to the County Sheriff's Office and that continuing to work with Linden risks his career. Holder defends Linden, but Carlson reveals she once spent a month in a psych ward after losing control on a case. Outside, Holder tries to reach County for Rosie's case files but gets no answer. Linden suggests working around Gil and the County Police, but Holder reminds her she is suspended. They visit Richmond to ask him to persuade Jackson to grant them casino access; Richmond says he is also on bad terms with her. In the car, Linden apologizes for their separation at the reservation on the day Holder was assaulted. He reassures her they are still friends and leaves. After parking at her motel, Linden finds her son Jack's jacket in the back seat and begins to cry.
The next morning, Mitch visits David Rainer, who is unaware of Rosie's death. Rosie had visited him before she died, wanting to learn more about Mitch's life. He mentions Rosie was planning a trip to California to see monarch butterflies. As Mitch leaves, he asks if Rosie is his child; she lies, saying she is Stan's.
Tommy's elementary school principal leaves Stan a message. At school, Stan learns Tommy stomped on a nest of baby birds and has been suspended for two weeks. Stan pleads that he cannot care for his son while working, to no avail. Outside, he yells at Tommy and revokes his privileges, comparing his behavior to Rosie's. Tommy argues he hates her and is glad she is dead. Stan slaps Tommy and orders the boys into the truck.
Holder finds Linden asleep in her car and tells her the case files never reached County. Gil Sloane arrives at his apartment to fin
